Situated next to the Conti of Biserno’s palace , the
Town Hall is made of 3 parts: at the sides the Biserno’s
Tower, 12th century, and the Bargello’s Tower, 13th
century. The central part was added later, probably in the
middle of the 13th century, when Massa Marittima became
more powerful and rich. This central part is the work of
two stonemasons from Sienna, Stefano di Meo and Gualtiero
di Sozzo.
